Mauricio Larraín Errázuriz

Mr. Larraín holds a degree in Business Administration and a Master in Economics from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He also holds a Master in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley. He was Commissioner and Vice President of the Financial Market Commission, professor at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, professor at Columbia Business School, and visiting professor at Stanford Graduate School of Business. He previously worked in the Research Department of the Central Bank of Chile. He is currently a professor of economics at the Universidad de los Andes and an independent director of HSBC Chile. He is also a permanent guest of the Capital Markets Advisory Council and associate editor of the Journal of Banking and Finance and the Journal of Financial Intermediation. He joined the Committee in August 2025.
